Rectifier

*The rotating rectifier is a device that rotates coaxially with the AC exciter. Its main function is to convert the three-phase AC excitation current output by the AC exciter armature into DC current through the diode on the rectifier, and supply it to the rotor winding as the power supply for the excitation current. It is precisely because of the application of the rotating rectifier that the AC synchronous generator has been freed from the shackles of brushes, and there is no longer the trouble of frequent maintenance and replacement of parts, which also makes the application of AC synchronous generators more extensive.
